Working Definition
Design-Based Research is the methodological frame in which tools, doctrine, Field Guide, and use co-evolve. It exists to keep learnt.cloud from presenting itself as a static artifact. The system is an active research program whose Field Guide, specifications, tooling, and observed use revise one another.
Z-Axis Placement
This node sits beneath the final season and above implementation. It explains the metabolism of the project: inquiry becomes artifact, artifact meets reality, and reality revises the inquiry.
Failure Mode
The failure mode is closure theater: acting as if a current doctrine or tool has completed the problem it was built to investigate.
Internal Doctrine Mapping
The internal mapping includes DBR, R-SDD, OODA++ governance, OIA, and the reality-to-mission loop. These names remain below the public gateway.
